RANDALL MEECE

Randall L. Meece-WANTED

Randall L. Meece is a WANTED individual.  Please contact the Sheriff's Office Tip Line at 812-379-1712 if you have any information about his whereabouts.

The Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office is seeking assistance in locating Randall Lee Meece. In 2009, Columbus Police Officers stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, Randall Meece, stopped his vehicle and spoke with the officers. During the traffic stop, officers learned that Meece had a suspended driver's license, and he also had an outstanding criminal warrant for his arrest.

As officers re-approached the vehicle, Meece sped away from the area at a high rate of speed. A vehicle pursuit ensued as Meece led officers into northern Bartholomew County.

Deputies from the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office deployed tire deflation devices which eventually disabled the vehicle. Meece then fled from the vehicle on foot and ran into a wooded area. A short time later, Meece was located and taken into custody.

Meece failed to appear for his court hearing, and in November of 2009 a criminal warrant was issued for Meece. He is charged with two counts of Resisting Law Enforcement and Reckless Driving.

Meece is described as a white male, 54 years of age, 5'11", 180 lbs, brown hair, and blue eyes.
