S.R. 11 Culvert Replacement
BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind.—The Indiana Department of Transportation plans to close State Road 11 next Friday evening (JUNE 14)—weather permitting—to begin operations for replacing a small drainage structure located 1.19 miles south of S.R. 46 in Bartholomew County. An official detour routes traffic via S.R. 58 to Interstate 65 to S.R. 46.
The full closure will remain in effect over the weekend until 6 a.m. Monday (JUNE 17). INDOT anticipates that work will continue during daylight hours the week of June 17—requiring single lane traffic much of the time. Flaggers will be present to direct motorists through the work site.
Dave O’Mara, the state’s contractor, is removing the existing S.R. 11 culvert and replacing it with a 20x5x44-foot concrete box structure.
Contract completion date is July 3.
